Officemax B2B Commerce
Challenge
The OfficeMax B2B Website is a hard-working site. In 2010, it was the 6th largest eCommerce site in the world. However as the brand evolved the B2B website didn’t evolve with it. Sales teams and customers had to work around its quirks and usability flaws, and the expectations of the target user was changing in a way that required a shift…to create a B2C experience with B2B controls.
Solution
As the brand evolved towards meaningfully connecting people with their space and business, we created an experience that would enhance productivity as well as appeal to the customer’s need for inspiration and style. The redesign incorporated better product merchandising and discovery while offering self-service opportunities and strengthened its position as an advisory role in support of a customer’s business. The design was so well received that the B2C website began to incorporate some of the design aesthetics.
