Challenge

Cafescribe was in need of a next generation design of their higher-ed digital textbook application. More information was needed to understand what usability issues hindered the reading and studying process as well as a re-branding effort, targeted towards college students.

Solution

As a co-located and integrated team, we worked closely with Follet’s Software Development and product team on development stories and collaborated through a series of iterations over a course of 1.5 years. Usability testing was a part of the approach as we continued to build and refine features to support a college student in studying more effectively.

Role: Associate Creative Director

Led collaborations and client reviews, oversight across all disciplines, art direction & visual design (UI/Visual Design, UX, Project Management & Collaboration with Follett Software's Product & Development teams)

Key Activities: Brand Evaluation & UX Expert Review & Future ConceptsCompetitor Assessment, Requirements gathering, Stakeholder Interviews, Discovery Workshop, User Flows, User Experience Wireframes, Interaction Specs, UI/Visual Design, Workshops, (Desktop, Tablet & Mobile)
